Baramasa Vaishakha (May-June)
The painting represents the month of Vaiśākha (the period between April to May). The verse in the painting, describes that the atmosphere of Vaiśākha is full of gentle, fragrant, breeze but such sweet smell is painful for the lovers who are away from each other. Therefore, the nāyikā implores her lover not to talk of going away in this month.
