Rama and Lakshmana with Monkey Army at the commencement of Setubandha
Having carried out the reconnaissance of Lanka and actually tracing the whereabouts of captive Sitā, Hanumān returned to Kishakindā. At the same time Rāvana’s brother Vibhisana deserted his homeland to support Rāma in the forthcoming battle. To implement the decision to launch a fierce attack on Rāvana, the massive Vānara Vāhini (monkey army) hurriedly proceeded and reached the sea shore, under the leadership of their King Sugriva and the commander Nala.
