Rasikapriya - Managalacharan
It is an illustration from Rasikapriyā.
The painter divides the space in two triangular shapes. In the upper section in a two-storied house a middle class man and woman, are conversing with each other. Probably, it represents a nāyaka arguing with his arrogant beloved. At the ground floor level are bare-bodied attendants. In the triangular section below (we may also consider it as a foreground plane), two men are depicted conversing with
each other, housed in a square space. Perhaps they are interpreting the contents of Rasikapriyā, which is about the typological classification and emotional conditions of lovers.
