Sunday Guided Tour
Curator led weekend guided tours are announced each week, of selected galleries or exhibits. Post Covid, prior booking is preferable. The tours are announced on our social media platforms. All are welcome. Special groups can have tours catered to their interests. Tours are conducted in English and Hindi.
Institute Visit
Guided tours are available for school/colleges/institutes as an educational visit, Prior information regarding the time and date of the visit can be conveyed to the museum by mail, or phone. Booking allows us to serve you better and helps take care of duplication or unnecessary crowding

The museum is open on all days, except on Mondays and public holidays, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Visiting Hours, Today: 10:30 to 17:30

The Museum is committed to being a visitor-friendly place and creating a comfortable, well-facilitated environment to offer visitors a wholesome experience. The following facilities are available at the Museum.
Interactive kiosks are positioned within various galleries to facilitateextended information about the Museum, collections and the donors in the respective galleries.
The Museum shop contributes towards promotion of Indian culture through different art materials. There is a wide range of books published by the Museum and other renowned publications. The Shop also displays articles such as greeting cards, colour prints and other objects inspired by the museum collection.
Guided tours are available for school/colleges/institute as an educational visits,Just inform us in prior your choice of date and time, number of students and adults, name ofgalleries in particular you want to visit, access or special requirements in advance (in case ofcancellation, please make sure to inform us in prior).
Lost or found objects may be deposited at the Museum office at the Ground Floor. Visitors must take care of their personal belongings. The Museum is not responsible for any loss of belongings.
The museum has baggage counter for visitors to store belongings. Big bags, water bottles, packages are not allowed inside the Museum for safety reasons. The baggage counter is a safe place to store these while you enjoy your visit.

The Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum is located in the premises of the L.D. Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad. It is situated on a sprawling campus in the western part of the city in an area dotted with educational and research institutes, and in the vicinity of Gujarat University. It is about 7 kilometeres from the Railway Station, 6 kilometres from Ahmedabad city Central Bus Station (Gita Mandir - GSRTC) and 12 kilometres from the Airport. It is well connected with the BRTS running right outside the gates of the museum.
