Information on Campus Visit
The Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad is situated on a sprawling campus in the western part of the city in an area dotted with educational and research institutes, and in the vicinity of Gujarat University. It is about 7 kilometeres from the Railway Station, 6 kilometres from Ahmedabad city Central Bus Station (Gita Mandir - GSRTC) and 12 kilometeres from the Airport.
The L D Institute of Indology is a research centre, and open to special visits only, with prior appointment.
The L D Institute of Indology is open on all days, except on Sundays and public holidays, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Information on Campus Visit
The Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum is located in the premises of the L D Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad. It is situated in a green campus in the western part of the city, adjacent to universities and research institutes such as CEPT, Gujarat University and Ahmedabad University, and such tourist attractions as Amdavad ni Gufa.
The Gujarat University BRTS Bus Stop is directly opposite the L D Museum Gate.
It is about 7 kilometres from the Railway Station, 6 kilometres from Ahmedabad city Central Bus Station (Gita Mandir - GSRTC) and 12 kilometres from the Airport. The museum is open on all days from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed on Mondays and selected public holidays.
Educational Visit
Visiting the museum with your school/colleges/institute students is a good idea. It is the best way to connect young people with our culture, history and heritage.
