Tagores & Ahmedabad is an account of a relationship that began within a few years of birth of Rabindranath and continues till today and will continue tomorrow. Satyendranath Tagore, the first Indian ICS officer may be called the patriarch of this relationship which flourished with the multifaceted personality of Rabindranath and continues through his literature and associates who planted the saplings which have grown and keep growing into monumental trees.

 

About the Speaker:

Academically a chemical engineer, professionally, a businessman and by choice a Rabindra Anuragi. Translated Tagore's English Gitanjali into Gujarati and Naivedya, Prantik, Shesh Lekha into Gujarati and English. Published Tagore and Poetry, Chicago, Gandhi vs. Tagore, Chitrangada and other Dramatic Poems in English. In Gujarati, Ravindranath: Ek Kavinu Shabdachitra, Gandhiji viruddh Gurudev, 3 Natyakavyo, Rabindranathni Kavyasrushti.
