Baramasa Ashadh (June-July)
This painting represents the month of Ashadh (the period from June to July).
The weather in Ashadh is described as full of strong winds. Probably that is why now the artist has shifted the nāyaka and nāyikā into the indoor space, who are now shown sitting on what was an empty bed in the earlier two paintings. The conclusion of the poem is that in this weather (or month) no one goes out leaving the house and wife. Even mendicant, stays in one āsana, or posture. Thus, the artist has converted the outdoor space into another enclosed temple like structure in which an ascetic is performing yoga while a novice is attending on him.
