Sangram Singh
The portrait has no inscription, but the characteristic profile in which the forehead links with the nose in such manner that there are only slight protrusions from the top tip of the nose downward to the lips and the chin. Such profile closely resembles the known portraits of Sangram Singh such as 'Maharana Sangram Singh watching Jethi wrestlers at the City Palace', c. 1715-1718 A.D.
His eye is narrow and the raja preferred a thin moustache giving prominence to the beard. His head-gear is usually tight fitting to serve as a royal emblem. He is thick-set, wearing a loose transparent angarakha over his inner dress of fine textile material. A minutely embroidered patka is tied around his waist in which is tucked the katar. He holds a thin stick with his right hand, instead of the main weapon, the sword. The portrait is deteable c. 1725 A.D.
