Ramleela and Krishna Leela, Marwar
These are two folios painted on very thin paper, unlike and inferior to that used in the court styles of paintings. One folio represents over-simplified depiction of Vastra-haran, that is, from a set of folios illustrating Krsna Lila. The other represents Rama and Sita after coronation with Laksamana standing next to them while Hanuman in namaskara mudra in front of Rama. Obviously, it is a folio from Ramayana. This is the kind of pictorial style which probably derives from the Jaina type of simplified draftsmanship.
