Prince riding on a horse pursuing a fleeng Burraq
The painting depicts a prince riding on a galloping horse, pursuing a fleeing Burraq (a mystical creature), who is running at a breathtaking lightening speed. The Burraq is already out of the hunter's reach and almost within the territory of his home. The artist has delineated three winged Burraqs, who are emerging from the lush foliage within the fort walls. The prince's territory is painted in green colour, whereas the Burraq's fort is surrounded by open space of golden colour, which explains the characteristics of two diDisplayerent worlds.
