Chaurpanchasika Verse 33
In this composition the painter separates the bed chamber and the enclosed pavilion. Seated image of Champavati continues to be the painter's concretization of Bilhana's feelings. Here, the focus is on togetherness; therefore the painter has placed the couple seated close together on a single common mat instead of on two separate mats. Nayika is the poet's sole hope of life, he being the only one who has tasted her fresh youth and he wishes that she will be once again his beloved in the future birth. The lovers are seated against the sober tone of green color. The painter has also created a variation on the bed on which the two bolsters are lying in oblique positions giving them an animated eDisplayect. Between them is a third bolster depicted in the lateral view, with a circular form obviously separating the two other bolster.
