About Activity LDII
The Institution LDII also organizes lectures of renowned scholars on various subjects under a well-known platform called SANGOSTHI. Every year about 20 such lectures are arranged. The Institution organizes exhibitions, lectures, seminars, symposia and audiovisual programmes on various subjects related to Indological research. Art critics like Prof. Karl Khandalavala, Prof. Mulkraj Anand, Shri S. Gorakshakar and such dignitaries have visited the Institute Periodically, the Institute arranges seminars and lectures on Indological subjects.
Those who have delivered lectures at the Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Lecture Series and the Agam Prabhakar Muni Shri Punyavijayji Lecture Series include such eminent Indologists as Dr. G. C. Pande, Prof. S. R. Benerjee, Muni Shri Shilchandravijaji, Dr. T. S. Nandi, Dr. Vasant Bhatt, Dr. Gautam Patel, Dr. Kalidas Bhattacharya, Dr. Mainkar, Dr. B. K. Matilal, Shri C. Sivaramamurti and Dr. T. G. Kalghatgi.

About Activity - LD Museum
School children are an important section of our visitors. The Museum thus initiates innovative methods to reach out and engage with children.
From September 2020, the Museum commenced a series of virtual interactions with students to maintain educational engagement during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Taking inspiration from and linking the focus to school curriculum as per the NCERT syllabus, several illustrated takes were designed for classes 4 to 7, on the following topics:
- Old is Forever - Class 4.
- Stories of Water - Class 5.
- Learning from Indian Art - Class 6.
- Hamara Gujarat: A time travel through Art, Architecture and Coins - Class 7.
An introduction to the Medieval Architecture of India - Class 7. With the ebbing of the pandemic, the Museum has initiated physical activities for students along the same topics.
For interested visitors, these hour-long talks (along with a visual slideshow) will be provided by the curator of the Museum, upon request.

Workshops at the museum
Art workshops allow the museum to connect with its public in an interactive way. 10 to 12 creative and hands-on work shops are conducted each year. Some of them have been Learning the Traditional Art of Mata ni Pachhedi, Pichhawai Painting, Calligraphy, Miniature Painting amongst others. These work shops are usually 2 to 3 days.
Online workshops
A variety of workshops for young audiences, usually one hour in duration, are conducted by the museum. Information regarding these is found on the website and advertised on our social media platforms.
Children activities at the museum
Activity sheets are available upon request. These are specially designed to engage the children with the different collections. Provided free of cost.
