Ragamala, Ragini Madhumadhavi
Chaupai:
Madhumādhvi is a treasury of beauty among women. She wears green attire and numerous glittering ornaments adorn her. Sages turn pale when they behold her. She steps out from the palace into the garden as dark clouds joyfully gather in the sky and thunder rumbles softly. As flashes of lightening light up the sky and kural birds sing many notes pleasantly in great delight, the beholding princess stands there overjoyed.
Doha:
Expecting to meet her lover, her body blossoms like a flower. Awaiting the arrival of her master, she is exultant and stands at the doorstep entranced. Dreaming of her lover’s embrace, her heart fills with pleasure.
