Ramayana
Folio 127 reveals that the army has reached the battle field from the left side. Soldiers riding on horses and elephants are delineated in two circular formations. Laksamana’s name is inscribed on the left slightly below the centre, whose chariot carries the royal flag. At the extreme right side on the top is depicted Lava praying to Surya who bestows on him the Divyadhanusa. Just below are represented Kuśa and Lava discussing their strategy. Kuśa above and Lava below are single-handedly facing the army arrayed in two circular formations. Laksamana about to release an arrow implies that he is leading the attack. The entire composition implies how the painters are well-versed with warfare strategies and very competently delineated soldiers in uniform riding on elegant horses and magnificent elephants
