Ragini Gurjari
This is another verse by poetess Singar Sakhī. The composition narrates that, “Nand Kishore is at the act of milking the cows. The milk pots are of gold and their edges are adorned with precious stones. Across his (Krsṇa’s) neck, he has cast the two ends of his pitāmber. Says Singar Sakhī, my heart and mind are drawn towards the cow pen, hearing the gleeful cries of the calves”.

Singar Sakhī’s compositions distinctly appear to be associated with the darśanas of the Haveli. This particular verse may be gesturing towards the darśana of Gwāla, traditionally during which hour the Mukhiyā of the Gauśālā visits the deity to inform him that all is well with his cows. The painting depicts Krsṇa, his cowherd friends and shepherdesses in the cow pen with cows and frolicking calves.
Rāga Gujari, in which this verse is instructed to be sung, is conventionally associated to the nomadic Gujjara tribes who were cow herds and reared animals for their subsistence.
