Ragamala, Raga Malkaus
Chaupai:
Malkausika is very wise and ingenious. Golden-complexioned, he has a sweet tongue. He is seated on his throne in his palace attended by a number of women whose charm and beauty are matchless. They are wearing bright and glistening ornaments which appear all the more brilliant as they adorn beautiful bodies. Chewing betel leaves and holding betel in their hands, the women are happy and full of joy.
Doha:
Beholding the majesty and dazzling brilliance of king Malkausika, how would I now describe the charm and beauty of the maidens?
