Sarasvati, Book Cover
This large painted wood cover of the Pahari School is rare object for the simple reason that generally books on Indian Miniature paintings do not reproduce such art works. This cover measures 30 cm x 18 cm which means that it could have served as a cover for not only a manuscript of some religions or literary text, but also for a set of painted folios.
