This representation of Gajendramoksha from the episod of Bhagavata Puran is a very remarkable in the entire Pahari oeuve of miniature paintings. The entrapped elephant king and the immidiate appearance of his saviour, Vishnu are depicted in an oblique andle, diogonally pushing into the pictorial space.
