Krishna Abhisarika (Nayika)
This perticular folio depicts Abhisarika Nayika. The Abhisarika is a Heroine who braves the terrors of the night in order to meet her lover. The Nayika (heroine) wears a gold flowered red ghagra and purple choli. The dark background of the painting suggest the starless dark night, through which the tress are faintly looming. A red snake in the left hand corner indicates the dangers of the night.
