Ragamala, Ragini Kedaro
Chaupai:
Kedār is a lady separated from her beloved and hence is in anguish. Wrapped in the dress of a hermit and with ash smeared over her limbs (resulting out of separation), Kedār utters the tales of separation and of living in solitude. Knowing her to be a yogi, people gather around Kedār and she teaches them the art of yoga that has stemmed from her saga of partition. She has a companion who is a yogini, with whom she converses about parting and the mysteries of life. Her tresses are disorderly and have loosened up, and she heaves deep sorrowful sighs. She has kept awake all night.
Doha:
Listening to the music of love and knowing that the moon is now fatigued after his nocturnal round, Kedār feels no less anguish while waiting for the dawn of the day.
