Ragamala, Ragini Khambhavati
Chaupai:
The queen Khambhāvati is so wonderfully blessed that Lord Brahmā recounts anecdotes of her. He has created her with such care that she is indeed a treasure house of beauty and grace that is unsurpassed. Kāmadeva is shamed before her divine, dazzling beauty and Brahmā seated on the lotus flower forgets to recite the Vedas. He even forgot to oDisplayer libations and meditation escaped his mind. Khambhāvati talks so enchantingly that one becomes mystified. As she stretches out her joint hands full of flowers for oDisplayering, her form is blessed by Kāmadeva.
Doha:
Kāmadeva is shamed by the beauty of Khambhāvati, burnt up and reduced to ashes.
The eyes of even wise men go quickly astray when they watch the beauty of Khambhāvati.
