Baramasa Ashvin (September-October)
The name of the month is not included in the verse that is Asvina (Asoja). Curiously this month is associated with śrāddha, the annual ceremony for the departed ancestors (pinda dāna), and for the kings to go out accompanied by pundits to explore in their kingdom. Yet the nāyikā pleads to the lover that in the month of Kvār (another name of Asvina), that is associated with the Kalpataru (wish fulfilling tree) for love-making, hence why leave the home to make me sad. In the enclosed pavilion now the painter depicts the hero in his aristocratic dress and arrayed with his weapons, thus ready to leave home, while the nāyikā is persuading him to stay. The painter uses his imagination to represent the groom having mobilized the horse, which is delineated in animated action as if eager to set on the journey. The dark blue colour of the backdrop sets oDisplay the pictorial configurations.
