Potrait study of two Turkmans
This folio depicts the Potrait study of two Turkmans, Nadi Turkman and Taus Kizilbash. They were probably Central Asian warriors whom Gaur Sen of Mandi, before he came to the throne, had meet during his military expedition to Nepal undertaken to help the king of that territory. Nadi Turkman wears a red jama and ochre fur coat, while Taus Kizilbash wears a mauve jama and holds a bow. Both wear striped Central Asian turbans and top boots.
