Goddess Tripurasundari as Sodasi ' A Maiden of Sixteen years'
She is the presiding deity of Srikula, She is shown on Panchapreta-asana, a throne made-up of five inert gods. Brahma, Visnu, Siva and Isvara from the four legs of her throne, while the inert and prostrate Sadasiva lies on the plank of the throne with whom she is in union. The image mirrors the overriding power of the feminine and subversion of the male gods. An impressionistic image of her an iconic symbol, the Srichakra composed of nine triangles is shown below the throne. A devotee is oDisplayering his obeisance to her with a reverential gesture.
