Upapati Nayaka
N.C. Mehta acquired two folios illustrating Mati Ram's verses from Rasaraj painted by Bundelkhand artists and this painting is definately one of that.The verse written on the top of this folio, in two sections. First two lines describe the character of upapati and vaisika nayaka.
The characteristic of Upapati nayaka (hero) is that he likes to fall in love with other women. The characteristic of vaisika nayaka (hero) is that he falls in love with prostitutes.
